Changes in interactive media technology

CD-Rom: in the beginning days of computers, storage was calculated in megabytes  (Mb)and most systems relied on floppy disks. As time progresses on the uproar of hard drive became more useful for people because it was able to store even more memory this means that floppy disks became less and less viable , however hard drives are not very portable. CD’s brought digital audio and also the capability to provide high capacity portable storage which made it easier to share large amounts of data and easy to install applications. Then DVDs came along that expanded on movies which also require large amounts of storage which was well beyond hard drives.

unless nowadays we are able to use hundreds of gigabytes of storage in our computer some even bigger which is Terabytes (Tb). This means that using CD, DVD and Blu-Ray for storing data is not worth it anymore since terabytes is a thing.

Interactive TV (ITV): Is a form of media convergence, adding data services to traditional television technology.

smart phones/phones when smartphones came up mp3 players has slowly became irrelevant because you was able to do so much on a smartphone like play music, which meant that no one needed a CD player or a music collection. Then later in the future being able to purchase music digitally on iTunes or google play store this lead to physical copies became irrelevant.
